Digital art

These portraits were drawn from scratch using my Samsung tablet and a Wacom digitizer. I use Cloverpaint and Autodesk sketchbook to draw the images from a photo, they are not simply digital manipulations of existing photos. These digital portraits are still very much a hand-crafted, unique work of art and have a distinct style of their own.

Digital portraits are good for a number of reasons: they’re less expensive (20% cheaper than an equivalent acrylic painting); the digital file can be used to print on a number of products; and I can provide a fascinating time-lapse animation showing step-by-step how the portrait is created.

In the images to the left you can see how the digital images have been printed onto stretched canvas; you could also have the image printed on mugs, bags, t-shirts, or pretty much anything you can imagine.
